Instructions to Authors for Preparation of Manuscripts for The
Georgia Library Quarterly
- The Georgia Library Quarterly is the official organ of the Georgia Library
Association and seeks to publish articles, book reviews, and news of interest to Georgia
library employees. Articles of scholarly and popular nature are accepted for
consideration.
- Manuscripts should be sent to the editor. They should be submitted in
WordPerfect or Microsoft Word format and one paper copy.
- Paragraphs should not be indented.
- The author's name, position, email address, and professional address should appear on
the title page. A last name and page number would be helpful on following pages.
- Footnotes should appear at the end of the manuscript and should conform to the latest
edition of the Chicago Manual of Style.
- Photographs will be accepted for consideration for the body of the journal and also for
the cover and will be returned upon request.
- Upon receipt, a manuscript will be acknowledged by the editor. Following review by
the Editorial Board, decision will be communicated in writing to the author. The
Editorial Board meets quarterly. A definite publication date generally cannot be
provided.
- No honaria are paid but a gratis copy will be sent to each author.
- Through submission of material to be printed in The Georgia Library Quarterly,
the author provides approval for the GLQ to publish the material once.
Otherwise, the author retains copyright.
