Statement of Purpose

The purpose of the Assessment Interest Group is to exchange ideas and information in the area of library assessment. Specific interests include measuring the impact of library services and resources on patron activities; measuring the effectiveness of library activities within the library; the use of surveys, focus groups, interviews, usability studies, and other techniques as assessment tools; discussing current library assessment literature and applications for members' libraries; and acting on data gathered through assessment.
