The Azalea Regional Library System (AZRLS) is excited to announce a new service offering – Azalea After Hours! Patrons are now able to pick up books and other library materials after hours and enjoy the convenience of quickly retrieving holds while on the go. The lockers also provide contactless, 24/7 access for patrons who prefer not to enter the building or who need outside accessibility.
AZRLS lockers are conveniently located near the library’s main entrance, and patrons will either scan their library card (physical card or from the PINES app) or manually enter their library card number on the touch screen. An assigned locker door will open, where items may be retrieved. Patrons should securely close the door after picking up all items. AZRLS currently has lockers located at these member library locations: Eatonton-Putnam County Library (Eatonton), Greene County Library (Greensboro), Jasper County Library (Monticello), Monroe-Walton County Library (Monroe), Morgan County Library (Madison), and Sparta-Hancock County Library (Sparta).
The Azalea Regional Library System received grant funding to purchase the SmartAxess Lockers through an IMLS (Institute of Museum and Library Services) ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) Digital Inclusion grant, administered by Georgia Public Library System.
