A year with challenges like never before has inspired a conference with opportunities like never before! For the first time, the 2020 Georgia Libraries Conference is entirely online with free registration for current GLA, SELA, and GAIT members.
Registration is now open at www.galibcon.org.
While we’ll miss seeing you all in person, we have many great events planned to bring Everyone In! We hope you’ll enjoy this opportunity to reach beyond our COVID bubbles, learn from each other, and build relationships with other librarians and library professionals from across the Southeast.
Just like in years past, we’ll celebrate the 2020 GLA Award and scholarship winners, connect with vendors in a (virtual) exhibit hall, raise funds for the scholarships, and gather for relaxed but engaging social activities. This year, SELA is co-hosting the Georgia Libraries Conference and will be celebrating their 100th anniversary!
We’re proud to offer the high-quality sessions you expect from GLC, and we’re honored to feature Wanda K. Brown, immediate past president of the American Library Association, as our keynote speaker on Thursday morning, October 8th.
With so much of 2020 serving to isolate or divide us, the Georgia Libraries Conference is an opportunity to come together. It is a space for us to grow professionally and take a collective breath before facing the challenges ahead, and, again, it is free for members of GLA, SELA, and GAIT. If you’re not already a GLA member, memberships start at just $35, or $12 for students and paraprofessionals.
Everyone In, and we’ll see you at GLC, October 7-9!
