Join us for the 2024 Joint GLC with SGA

The Georgia Library Association and the Society of Georgia Archivists are co-hosting the joint Georgia Libraries Conference (GLC) and Society of Georgia Archivists Annual Meeting. It will be held in-person October 2 - 4 , 2024, in Athens, GA. This conference is a place for our members and guests to showcase their professional and scholarly accomplishments with our profession at large.

Our theme this year is "Leading Georgia Forward, Together." As the first joint conference for the Georgia Library Association and the Society of Georgia Archivists, this year's GLC is a special opportunity to celebrate and engage with leaders in the library and archive community whose work makes a positive impact across our state. Our featured keynote speaker for the joint conference will be Dr. Aisha Johnson (she/her), Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Outreach at Georgia Institute of Technology Library, whose leadership and advocacy embody the important connections between libraries and archives.

While the conference will be held in person, it will continue to include a virtual component. This will be comprised of pre-recorded sessions and asynchronous Q&A sessions (see Session Format for more information). Virtual materials will be available October 15-17, 2024.

    Registration is now available.

Hotel and lodging information is also located on this site.

GLA Members will need to log in to the member portal for access to their member rates. If you need assistance with your GLA account, please contact [email protected].

SGA Members will be provided with a code to enable registration at the appropriate member rate. If you need assistance, please reach out to the SGA Program Chair at [email protected].

If you wish to register only for the virtual conference to be held October 15-17, a separate registration announcement will be sent at a later date.
