    The Georgia Library Association Carterette Series Webinars presents

    Centralize Your Library Student Employment and Design an Engaging, Efficient, and Career-Ready Workforce

    Wednesday, March 26, 2025
    2pm Eastern (11am Pacific | 12pm Mountain | 1pm Central)
    Cost: Free

    Description: At Northern Arizona University's Cline Library, we've created a unified student employment model that fosters community and collaboration through cross-training, standardized core competencies, and a clear career development and promotion path for student employees. In this session, attendees will learn how to centralize their student employment and implement a dynamic, cross-functional, and efficient student workforce to meet the library's needs while promoting student success through advancement and leadership opportunities.

    Attendees will become familiar with:
    • Operationalizing the Model: Step-by-step breakdown of building a central student employment operation, from recruitment and training to career development and promotion;
    • Best Practices in Cross-Training: examples of cross-departmental training and collaboration, and how to overcome common barriers; and
    • Career Pathways: Using National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) competencies to create a structured framework for student career growth and development
