The Georgia Library Association invites proposals for panels and presentations for the Georgia Libraries Conference (GLC). This year’s conference will be held in-person October 4-6 , 2023 in Athens, GA. GLC is a place for our members and guests to showcase their professional and scholarly accomplishments with our profession at large.
Our theme this year is “We’ve Got Stories to Tell.” This is your opportunity to both speak and listen to the diversity of perspectives and experiences that contribute to the vibrancy of our association and the libraries in which we work. Count yourself in to be inspired by sessions, motivated by educational opportunities, to collaborate and network, engage in information and idea sharing, and celebrate each other.
While GLC will be held in person, GLA will continue to utilize the online platform Whova for the conference. In doing so the conference will also include a virtual component. This will be comprised of pre-recorded sessions and asynchronous Q&A sessions (see Session Format for more information). Virtual materials will be available the week after GLC in-person.
The proposal deadline is June 16, 2023. We request that participants limit their number of proposals by a single individual to 3. All attendees, including presenters, are required to register for the conference.
If you have any questions regarding presentation proposals, please contact Karen Doster-Greenleaf (kdosterg@kennesaw.edu).
