Have you ever wanted to start a community garden and put your green thumb to work? Are you interested in harvesting your own fresh produce? If you answered yes to at least one of those questions, then we invite you to Grow with the Atlanta Emerging Librarians!
The North Cobb Regional Library (NCRL) will soon unveil their new library garden, so you’ll have the opportunity to hear about their progress. Also speaking will be Jeanne Young, Cobb County Master Gardener. Take notes as she showcases a blueprint of NCRL’s garden plans. Charlie Monroe, the Cobb County Parks Natural Resources Manager, will provide you with tips on starting a garden. Last but not least, Flannery Pearson-Clarke, the Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator for the Food Well Alliance, will share best practices for harvesting your own fresh produce, just in time for fall!
This event will take place on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 11:30AM-12:30PM via Zoom. Feel free to tune in on your lunch break (and eat while you’re at it). One lucky attendee will even win a raffle prize. Let’s grow together!
Please register for this event by following this link. Registration will close at midnight on September 15, 2021. You will receive a link to the Zoom meeting room prior to the event on September 16, 2021.
